Participants will examine
virtual worlds in online course settings, especially as these new tools affect
the roles of eTeachers and course designers.
Irene Mueller, EdD, RHIA (imueller@email.wcu.edu), WCU HIA Program Director, has 11 years of experience in online distance education. Her doctorate degree in Adult and Higher Education at Montana State University focused on Faculty Development for DE. She consults with healthcare facilities, providing face-to-face and distance workshops on Health Information Administration topics.
Mary Teslow, MLIS, RHIA (mteslow@email.wcu.edu) serves as Assistant Professor of Health Information Administration, WCU. Professor Teslow was an early adopter of online learning technologies and has received awards acknowledging both her teaching and innovation. She is currently an eLearning Faculty Fellow and is passionate about mentoring both students and faculty as well as actively collaborating with Western's support team.
