Welcome to the WCU Faculty Senate Forum.
The Faculty Senate functions as the chief voice of the faculty in University affairs. Their major areas of governance include (but are not limited to) faculty affairs, academic policy, curriculum approval, and collegial review. In the Fall 2007 Semester, the Faculty Senate considered the issues such as the following:
- Should students be required to own laptop computers?
- How will the faculty address policies surrounding SAI's (student assessment instruments, i.e. student evaluations of faculty)?
- How should faculty be represented on the Senate?
This forum is to keep you apprised of what the senate is doing and also to give you the opportunity to review and comment on senate activities. Let us know if you have something to say on our BLOG (click the blog tab at the top of the page).
