Streaming Video

WCU uses a Quicktime streaming server to deliver content on demand over the internet.

In order to view streaming video, you need to be connected to the internet and have the Quicktime software installed on your computer. The main use of streaming video is the distribution of copyrighted material for use in online classes. Video is played directly from the server to the students computer. They are unable to save the media on their computer or transfer it portable media devices like the iPod.

If you are having issues with Streaming Media, please check our troubleshooting page.

How do I stream my content?

If you need to stream video, you will need an account on the streaming server. Fill out the account request form and ask for a streaming server account in the category menu.

What else do I need to do?

1. You need to hint your video file.

2. You will need to provide a link to the media, or create a webpage with an embedded video.
